Laser therapy
Laser is a light source with various wavelengths that give it therapeutic properties, and therefore, it has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and biostimulant action. Nowadays, we must consider laser as an indispensable therapeutic aid in the dental office. In general, therapeutic laser has a series of indications and can be used alone or as an adjuvant to other treatments, whenever a local effect is required or when a general therapeutic effect is required.

Some applications and indications of therapeutic laser in dentistry:
Pain relief: promotes relief from pain of various etiologies, pulp pain, neuralgic pain, soft tissue pain, myalgia, post-operative pain, among other applications.
Tissue repair: promotes faster tissue repair in the event of traumatic injuries.
Reduction of edema or swelling: indicated for post-operative periodontal procedures (inflammation of the gums and tissues supporting the teeth), as well as other minor oral surgeries.
Relief from tooth hypersensitivity.
Facial paralysis.
Cold sores.
Mouth ulcers.
Alveolitis: infection or inflammation of the socket after tooth extraction.
Exodontia: post-tooth extraction.
Trigeminal neuralgia.
Periodontitis.
Pain in the temporomandibular joint.
